Hello there! September 1 is just a few days away when you can start ordering from the new 2017 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog! Wait until you open up your order! You will definitely get that warm and fuzzy Christmas morning feel.

Since I know that everybody is going to be starting the holidays, I wanted to extend my summer a bit longer. After all, we are in the midst of a significant heat wave right now dealing with 110 temps in California. I watercolored a pair of cowboy boots from Country Livin’ about 2 manicures ago and finally got around to editing the video I made on the fly that wasn’t really planned. I just turned it on and started coloring. I posted it on a private Stampin’ Up! Facebook Page and received a tremendous amount of requests for a process video.

I have some great pictures for you of how this masculine card turned out. We hope you enjoy our Back to School theme challenge for another week.

I mentioned this in the video, but Pam drove about 10,000 across the country this summer and upon arriving home, immediately decided to have an emergency appendectomy. She was thisclose to having it burst and had her young son with her. We are all very grateful she made it home in time and is resting and recovering right now.

We also realize that a lot of you are getting ready for back to school too. Since new teacher gifts and everything that goes along with it is upon us, what better time to make a handmade gift or card?

Thank you so very much for stopping by again this week to visit us. We will be back next week with a new challenge. Please keep the victims of Hurricane Harvey in your thoughts and prayers. God bless and have a fantastic week. Also, to enter your project into the current challenge, you can find the blog post HERE.

A little about my card, I used Cajun Craze as my card base and Crushed Curry as the mat for my image panel. I’m not feeling the Crushed Curry too much so I’m thinking about very carefully swapping that out to Crumb Cake.

I absolutely love the new Copper Trim. It’s very pliable but and soft with almost a wirey-type texture and you will see me pull it apart during the video. This is really durable and flexible ribbon that can be used for so many occasions. The watercoloring was just fun.

I will admit that I’m surprised how well these turned out. They are so organic looking. You will see the “save” in the video. I really sped the video up, but not so much that your head will spin, at least I hope not!

I hope that you’ve enjoyed today’s video and learned something new to try. Sometimes you just never know how that one last college try on an image panel that you’re ready to toss might turn out. I’m so happy I didn’t toss this. Until the next time…..be well and for those dealing with Hurricane Harvey, you are in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you so much for stopping by today.
